Coronado Heights
Located 3 miles northwest of Lindsborg
It is a dominant geological feature of the Smoky Valley in central Kansas, three miles northwest of Lindsborg. It rises 300 feet above the surrounding plains. It is one of seven bluffs along the west side of the seven mile wide valley of the Smoky Hill River. Coronado Heights
Park is located just north of McPherson County on the Saline County line. It is southernmost of the seven low hills
which are sometimes referred to as the Spanish Buttes. The park was crowned with the "Spanish Castle," built with federal WPA funds, in 1936.

Kanopolis Lake provide anglers, campers and water sports enthusiasts with
a wide variety of opportunities.
Maxwell Lake & Game Preserve

With over 200 buffalo and 70 Elk roaming free on this 2500 acre preserve of native prairie you get a thorough sense of what the real scene was like in 1820. Trams take you out into the middle of buffalo herds, while guides explain the surrounding flora and fauna.
Prairie Trail Scenic Byway
The Prairie Trail Scenic Byway is a 56-mile route through north central Kansas. It begins at the south at Canton, not far from where the Santa Fe and Chisholm Trails brought travelers and cattle in the 19th century. Canton is home to the Stars and Stripes Military Museum, an 1883 Pioneer Jail, the last Carnegie Library built, and two water towers labeled “Hot” and “Cold.” Restaurants and shops are available for visitors. From Canton the Byway heads north on K-86 winding its way through the western most edge of the Flint Hills.
