Program of Work Our Mission Statement: To promote and enhance the economic vitality of the Lindsborg area. 2008 Priorities: * To focus continued and determined effort on the strategies and goals outlined by the Lindsborg Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. * To provide ongoing opportunities for the recognition of our members. * To develop servant leaders. * To increase our leadership and profile in the community as it relates issues that affect businesses and our community. * To serve the interests of the retail sector. * To communicate the views of the business community and support constructive initiatives on major issues of public policy. * To provide information and services to new and current members that will aid in their growth and development as members, citizens, businesses, and industries. Key Areas of Focus Membership Development Function: Membership recruitment and retention Re-energize our membership recruitment and retention efforts to ensure and achieve a strong financial base for the Chamber resulting from membership dues. Membership Services Develop, expand and offer a broader range of member-only services that provide added benefits and value to their Chamber membership. Membership Events Develop, implement and evaluate programs that provide members with the opportunity to network and promote their business while creating non-dues revenue for the organization. Membership Communications/Marketing Communicate, market and promote the Lindsborg Chamber of Commerce members and prospective members. Membership Recognition Increase the opportunities available to recognize the investments made by members and volunteers in the growth and success of the Chamber. Community Development Function: Leadership Lindsborg Continue to support the Leadership Lindsborg program in developing servant leaders. Administration Function: Governance Continue the effective management of the organization’s resources including financial, staff and volunteers, so we can better execute the mission of the organization. Financial Management Ensure long term viability for the organization by ensuring healthy balance in all revenue sources and establishing expenditure policies that bring value to our members and support the mission of the organization. Task Force and Committees Continue to provide value and purpose driven opportunities to our members to engage and interact with the organization, while ensuring that each committee serves the mission of the organization. Internal Operations Continue to provide value and purpose driven opportunities to our staff to ensure that we are focused on providing first-rate, professional service to all constituents. |
